PROBLEM:
WHSmith operates across a wide range of retail environments, including high street, travel and airport locations, each requiring tailored visual execution.
With multiple sub-brands such as Smiths Kitchen and InMotion, the challenge was to deliver consistent, high-quality artwork across varied formats — from early-stage store concepts through to final in-store execution — while maintaining brand accuracy at scale.
SOLUTION:
I worked across multiple WHSmith brands, supporting the full lifecycle of in-store visual development.
This included collaborating with 3D design teams on early store concepts, editing renders and translating designs into accurate elevations and layouts. I developed in-store navigation systems and produced a wide range of POS materials, from shelf-level details to large-scale applications.
I also created artwork for large format print, including hoardings, storefront vinyls and interior graphics, ensuring all assets were production-ready and aligned with brand guidelines.
RESULTS:
Visual assets were successfully delivered across a wide range of store formats and locations, supporting both new store concepts and ongoing updates.
